Charvet and Petersham Nurseries: The evolution

Now open in Covent Garden, the new central London Petersham Nurseries features two restaurants, delicatessen and shop.

The original site in Richmond has worked very successfully with Charvet equipment for a long time.

Chef-director Damian Clisby explains the move: “Petersham is a lifestyle brand and this site gave us the balance between the deli, shop and restaurants and enabled us to transmit the DNA from Richmond to create an oasis of calm in central London.”

Describing the choice of Charvet for the cook-lines at Petersham Covent Garden, Clisby cites, “quality of Charvet’s work, the great heritage, it’s just really good kit and it lasts under pressure.

“One of the restaurants here will turn over 400 covers per day and I needed kit that’s going to give us that strength and has the robustness…and looks elegant as well.”

CHARVET AT PETERSHAM NURSERIES

Kitchen installation was carried out by Salix and Charvet’s own technical specialists.

La Goccia: Petersham Covent Garden features two restaurants. La Goccia features a 2025mm long Charvet Pro800 Series wall suite with s/s control panels and flat protection rail to the front. The one-piece worktop was delivered in sections and welded on site.

Petersham Kitchen: Situated in the basement, this production kitchen features a 2375mm long Pro800 Series wall suite with s/s control panels, flat protection rail to the front. The worktop was delivered in sections and welded on site.
