Bournemouth’s latest restaurant has created great reviews since opening under the steady guidance of Michelin-starred Kevin Viner.
Kevin appointed Chris Howard as head chef of the 200 cover restaurant.
Located next to the Hermitage Hotel, opposite the Bournemouth International Centre and overlooking the pier, Neo includes a 20 cover private dining room and a spectacular cocktail bar and large patio area.
Centrepiece of the kitchen is a 10-year old Charvet 800 series cooking suite.
The range was bought and installed 10 years ago but the restaurant at that time failed to open. Now under new ownership, the range has been dismantled, thoroughly cleaned and new consumables such as thermocouples replaced.
“After being out of action for so long, it just goes to show how well Charvet equipment is made,” says Kevin Viner. “The only alteration has been to add a section to hold the Josper charcoal cooker and replacing the electric fryers with gas.
“I had a similar Charvet range in my last restaurant; they are fast, powerful and just seem to last forever. I sold my last one on and they are still using it.
“When you are looking for consistent quality, reliable results, the Charvet is a good solid choice.”
